— 01 Where we work

Painters and decorators across North London.

From Hampstead and Highgate down through Islington, and out to Finchley, Barnet and Enfield. The neighbourhoods we've worked in enough to know the housing stock. We'll travel for the right project; we won't pretend to be local when we're not.

— 02 Primary areas

Where most of our work happens.

Most of our clients come from word of mouth in a few specific neighbourhoods. These are the postcodes we know best.

Hampstead

NW3

Period homes, conservation areas, plaster ceilings worth treating with care.

Highgate

N6

Tall sash windows and generous period rooms. Most jobs here are heritage paints and traditional finishes.

Muswell Hill

N10

Edwardian terraces with original mouldings worth restoring rather than papering over.

Crouch End

N8

Edwardian family homes. We work clean and quietly around school runs and home offices.

Islington

N1

Georgian and early Victorian houses where heritage-grade paint makes a visible difference on period plaster and joinery.

Stoke Newington

N16

Victorian terraces. Clients here lean toward bolder colour and statement wallpaper.

Primrose Hill

NW1

Painted joinery and slim period cornicing, where the brushwork is in close view.

Belsize Park

NW3

Tall stuccoed villas with original lath-and-plaster walls. Patient prep, soft finish.

— 03 Why local matters

Local, on purpose.

Working in a handful of neighbourhoods means we can meet you in person rather than guessing from photos, drop samples without billing travel, and come back for a single touch-up months later without it becoming a trip.

It also means we know the houses. The Edwardian and Victorian terraces in Hampstead, Highgate and Crouch End still have lath-and-plaster walls, soft sash windows and cornicing that was cut in by hand. The 1930s semis in Finchley and Barnet have painted hardwood that's been over-painted half a dozen times. Islington is mostly Georgian and early Victorian. Each era asks for different prep, different paint and different patience. The only way to know what's behind a wall is to have stripped a few like it before.
