Hand-painted woodwork, finished with a steady brush.

Doors, skirting, stairs, banisters, panelling and fitted joinery. The parts of a room you touch every day, prepared properly and painted slowly enough to last.

— 02 What we paint

The details that sit closest to the eye.

Woodwork shows shortcuts quickly. A heavy brush mark on a door, a lumpy spindle, paint pooling in a moulding. We slow that part down.

— 03 Why it takes time

Good woodwork is mostly preparation.

We degrease, sand, fill and prime before the topcoat goes near it. Old paint runs are flattened, cracks are filled, loose edges are dealt with, and every coat gets time to harden before the next.

On stairs and spindles, that means working by hand. The brush has to follow the profile, not flood it. The aim is clean shape, not a thick coat that hides the detail.

— 04 Where it matters

Useful for whole rooms, stairwells and joinery-heavy spaces.

Sometimes the walls are the easy part. The woodwork is what makes the room feel finished.

— 01

Hallways and stairwells

Banisters, spindles, stringers and skirting take daily knocks. We specify hard-wearing finishes and leave clean edges where wood meets wall.

— 02

Period rooms

Cornices, picture rails, doors and sash windows need a lighter hand. The aim is to restore the profile, not bury it.

— 03

Built-in joinery

Wardrobes, cupboards and shelving can be painted to sit quietly with the room. We confirm the coating system before we start.

Next step

Need the details to hold up?

We can look at doors, stairs, skirting or fitted joinery in context, check the existing coating, and explain the prep needed for a finish that stays crisp.
